Movie: Napoleon Dynamite (COM, YA)

Napoleon Dynamite is a quiet, dark comedy about the horrors of high school: being a geek, not fitting in, and just trying to figure out who you are.

Napoleon lives with his much older slacker brother, his grandmother, and an uncle who wishes he could go back and relive The Big Game in high school. Napoleon's friends are genuinely nice people who don't fit into the blonde-is-beautiful popular clique at school but who really care about and understand each other.

The story is told in a series of quiet moments. I can't tell you about them without spoiling the fun, but ultimately, this film shows how being yourself is the only way to live. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Grade: A
